FAQ

1. is bellicon JUMPING suitable for joint or disc problems?

bellicon JUMPING was specially developed for people with joint and back pain, as people who suffer from this often feel restricted in their freedom of movement. However, it should be noted that after acute incidents, rehabilitation should be completed first and, after consultation with a doctor, trampoline exercises should be started at a lower intensity. By performing the exercises lightly, you begin to gently train and strengthen the problematic areas. This means that you can usually switch to more intensive training after a few weeks.

2. is bellicon JUMPING recommended for people with heart disease, diabetes, arthrosis or pregnancy?

In the case of diabetes, osteoarthritis and heart disease, it depends on the severity of the disease. For example, there are many people who practise bellicon JUMPING in the early stages of osteoarthritis, as they are not in pain while exercising on the trampoline and can therefore be physically active. Exercise is generally recommended and is therefore useful for these illnesses at a light intensity. However, if you are already suffering from one of these illnesses, you can try individual training on the trampoline with very low intensity using the simple basic steps of bellicon JUMPING, but you should stop training at the slightest sign of overexertion. We recommend taking a bellicon JUMPING break during pregnancy. This is mainly due to the additional weight that presses on the pelvic floor muscles during the movements on the trampoline and then has to be trained and built up again after pregnancy.

3. is bellicon JUMPING an endurance or interval training?

Both. The cardiovascular system is given a strong workout through the intensive training. To avoid overexertion, your trainer can incorporate short, calmer exercise units and the bellicon JUMPING lesson automatically becomes interval training. Most trainers implement this in the lesson structure.

4. does jumping not only improve endurance, but also strength?

Yes. Both are trained intensively. bellicon JUMPING is a full-body workout that trains and strengthens the deep muscles. The supporting muscles in particular are addressed, but also very small muscles, such as those in our feet.

5 Which muscle groups are used?

Basically all of them. The change in gravity when jumping on a trampoline means that all the cells in the body have to build up counter-pressure to the weight acting on the cells. This is how all muscle cells have to work. The training of the large muscle groups of the legs and bottom is particularly noticeable to us. And also the straight abdominal and back muscles. However, bellicon JUMPING trainers are happy to focus on specific muscle groups in their individual lessons. As a participant, you always get your money's worth.

6. what prerequisites do I need to practise bellicon JUMPING?

bellicon JUMPING is basically suitable for everyone, regardless of fitness, age or weight. It is also important to pay attention to your own performance and accept your limits. Everyone determines their own intensity and can train and have fun with bellicon JUMPING in a group.

7. what are my chances of success if I want to lose weight?

Very high. Trampolining stimulates the entire metabolism and digestion. If you suffer from sluggishness, bellicon JUMPING can give your body a boost. The increased muscle build-up also promotes fat burning. Muscles eat fat. The constant change from aerobic to anaerobic training (interval) also promotes fat burning. Another positive effect of training with the aim of losing weight is the toning effect that trampolining has on the body in general.

8. how often should you jump per week?

At best, as with all sports in general, we recommend training three times a week. Of course, it doesn't have to be bellicon JUMPING three times. However, you will realize that bellicon JUMPING is so much fun that you will only want to do it.

9. can I combine bellicon JUMPING with other training equipment?

Of course. bellicon JUMPING can be combined with small dumbbells, Thera- or fitness bands. You can also convert the trampoline itself into a separate training device.

10. up to what weight are the trampolines suitable?

Our bellicon equipment is designed for weights of up to 200 kilograms.

11. are there different course levels?

The bellicon JUMPING basic training, which is similar to the Jumping Fitness Basic training, is the perfect introduction to fitness courses on the trampoline. Afterwards, the trainers can deepen their acquired knowledge in the bellicon ADVANCED, bellicon INTERVALL or bellicon KIDS workshops or venture into the health sector by participating in the bellicon HEALTH workshop. For those who prefer health-oriented courses, the bellicon HEALTH training offers the necessary knowledge and also the basis for children's courses.

12. does bellicon JUMPING also train my sense of balance?

Yes. The constant balancing of the body on the moving jumping surface effectively trains and improves our posture and sense of balance.

13 What is the difference to the usual trampolining we know from childhood?

The point of bellicon JUMPING is to transfer your weight and strength into the jumping mat and not to gain momentum through the mat in order to catapult your body into the air. This is where the notorious compression of the joints occurs when "coming back up", which is avoided with bellicon JUMPING thanks to the correct technique. With bellicon JUMPING, the jumping mat is mainly used to absorb the force exerted to make training particularly easy on the joints and prevent sore muscles.

14 What clothing should I choose for training?

Comfortable sportswear is recommended. For women, we also recommend a good sports bra with strong support. Lightweight sports shoes are also important to ensure a secure grip during intensive training on the jumping mat.

15. is bellicon JUMPING also suitable for children?

Yes. However, we recommend our special bellicon KIDS concept. The focus here is on coordination, concentration, posture and fitness. This concept was developed to train the children with fun and ease, without making it too strenuous for them and so that they can take away a lot of what they have learned from the bellicon KIDS lesson, which will also support them in other areas of life.
