Detoxification cure with tea – Skinny Detox Program
After the Christmas feast and at the start of the new year, many people make resolutions to eat more consciously, exercise more and generally live a healthier life. So that these plans don’t just remain good intentions, why not start the new year with a detox cure right at the beginning of the year? ;) Thanks to the great support of
Teatox
we are allowed to test the tea creations from the Skinny Detox range.
As a tea lover and detox fan, I am really looking forward to detoxing with the comprehensive cure consisting of tea, nutrition and training plan to start the coming year full of energy. Before I tell you about my two weeks in the new year, here’s a general insight into the topic of detox.
Detox means nothing other than “detoxify”. Environmental toxins, an unbalanced diet with lots of animal products, alcohol, cigarettes and caffeine cause the body to become over-acidified, the arteries to become clogged and the detoxification organs such as the liver, kidneys, intestines and skin, which control the body’s own detoxification processes, to become overloaded. The work of the organs is also made more difficult by stress and fatigue, so a detox cure can help to rebalance these processes. Toxins accumulate in the fat cells and are then released as soon as fat is broken down. Digestion and metabolism work at full speed.
In short, daily gentle detoxification or intensive detoxification over a longer period of time helps the body to cleanse itself from the inside. Detoxification is recommended for chronic fatigue, insomnia, irritability, stomach problems, digestive problems, headaches, skin problems and obesity. In addition to purification and detoxification of the body, many other positive effects can be expected: stimulation of the metabolism, fat burning, reduction of cravings, increased energy levels, stimulation and support of digestion, improved skin appearance, regulation of blood sugar, reduction of the feeling of fullness, improved sleep quality.
That all sounds very positive. In principle, a detox cure can last between 14 and 28 days. As I’m already eating relatively healthily and have some experience with detoxing, I’m still going to start with 14 days, because giving up cake and espresso before exercise is already painful. According to research, the best time to start is at the weekend to get used to the cure and its effect on the body, as some negative side effects can occur at the beginning. The changeover may cause slight headaches and tiredness. In addition, digestion and the feeling of hunger and thirst change at the beginning.
But fortunately, detoxing doesn’t mean not eating at all. In this cure, a balanced and healthy diet is supported by the
Teatox Skinny Detox series
is supported. This includes a tea in the morning with invigorating ingredients such as mate and green tea and a rooibos tea for the evening consisting of calming flowers and herbs such as hibiscus, lemon balm and yarrow. Morning tea makes you feel physically fit and mentally strong. The combination of ingredients in Good Night Tea optimally prepares you for a restful night and good sleep and contributes to normal digestion. Between teas, you should drink around 2-4 liters of water or herbal tea per day and pay attention to your diet.
The guiding principle here is “the more colorful, the better”, i.e. primarily lots of vegetables. You can find out what else you can and should avoid eating here.
I now feel well informed and ready to go, at least in theory, and am looking forward to the implementation in January! :)
